Stirling Fibre

Environment

Stirling Fibre’s commitment to responsible waste management is evident in each and every area of our business.

Continuous improvement is our main focus in all areas of the company.Andy Speirs, Executive Director

It's evident in our championing of segregating waste materials at source - the more materials we can keep separate, the less chance of their becoming contaminated and ultimately, the more waste we can re-use. The way we process and distribute these recovered fibres to paper mills enables them in turn, to produce recycled paper. It is clear in our joint venture activities to convert recyclable waste into renewable energy, that this is the best way forward.

We also recognise that our own activities have a potential impact on the environment and are continually seeking ways to minimise that impact.

Acting responsibly
having gained ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 accreditations, we regularly set targets to help drive environmental performance improvement across our group of companies: from lowering energy and water consumption, to reducing our own carbon emissions and preventing pollution.

These targets are measurable and regularly monitored, enabling us to ensure that we are doing our utmost to work with the environment and not against it.
