Recovered materials, re-used. • Stirling Fibre
Our Company
Collection is just the first step in the recycling process and Stirling Fibre is committed to putting as much recovered material to good use as possible. Over the years we have established a strong reputation trading recyclable products.
Stringent quality controls need to be in place at every stage of the process.
Executive Director
Paper and paper-based products account for the greatest share of our trading activities, with Stirling Fibre now geared to trade in excess of 200,000 tonnes of high quality waste paper every year.
Key to this trading success has been our commitment to segregating at source, and the stringent quality controls we have put in place at every stage of the process thereafter. Combined, these guarantee that customers get the quality of recovered fibres they want, in the quantities they want, when they want.
We trade in a wide range of grades of paper:
- News + Pams
- OI News
- Soft Mix
- Hard Mix
- OCC
- Best White no.1
- Best White no.2

- Sorted Office Waste
- Light Coloured Letter

- HDPE
- LDPE
- PET
- Polythene - 98/2; 95/5; 90/10; 80/20
- Mixed Plastic Bottles
Export activities
Whilst initially our trading activities were focused primarily on the UK market, recent years have seen Stirling Fibre establish strong trading relationships further afield, with the company now exporting regularly to the likes of China, India and Europe.
As demand for production in Asian countries continues to increase, so too does the demand for quality raw materials – and thanks to Stirling Fibre’s emphasis on continuous improvement, we’re well equipped to meet the volumes, high quality and consistency required.
Not only that, we also have our own logistics team to ensure that any administrative issues are addressed early on in the relationship, enabling us to provide our export customers with a seamless service each and every time.
In 2009 Stirling Fibre partnered with Newcastle waste treatment provider Graphite Resources – owner of one of the largest steam autoclave facilities in the world, with the capacity to handle waste from up to 500,000 households.
All in all, a significant leap forward and one that proves waste energy and recycling can work hand in hand to the benefit of all.
